Ordering in time

Nothing is held in stock, so the calendar matters more here than for an ordinary gift:

• Production: 3–5 business days, Monday to Friday, before the parcel exists at all.
• Delivery after that: 5–10 business days in the United States, 4–15 to the other countries we ship to.
• Peak season: carriers slow down through December, and customs queues lengthen. In unusual circumstances delivery can stretch to 20–25 business days.

Working backwards, three weeks before you need it in hand is the sensible cut-off, and four is safer for anything crossing a border. An order placed on a Friday afternoon does not start production until Monday.

Choosing December photographs

Holiday pictures are harder than they look, and the reasons are specific to the season:

• Indoor evening light is the usual problem. Christmas photos are mostly taken at night under warm lamps, which makes phone cameras raise sensitivity and add grain. A picture from the afternoon of the same day will almost always enlarge better.
• Fairy lights confuse the exposure. A tree in the background often leaves faces underexposed. Check the face, not the tree.
• Old Decembers are fine. A photo from five Christmases ago carries more than a sharper one from last week. Send it and we will tell you what size it can hold.
• Watch for red-eye and flash flatness. Neither can be undone once it is in the file.

Looking after it

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. Do not bleach. Do not iron the design. Follow the care label supplied with the item; product-specific instructions take priority over this general guidance.

If something is wrong

Contact us within 14 days of delivery if the item is the wrong size, differs from the design shown or the details you submitted, or arrives damaged. Email info@hakhatu.com with your order number and clear photos. Once verified, we replace or refund at no cost to you, and in most cases you do not need to send anything back.

Items personalized with details you entered — a misspelled name, a wrong date, or a size chosen at checkout — cannot be taken back, so please review every field before you pay. To cancel, email us within 12 hours of ordering.
