Several photos, one blanket

A collage blanket holds a set of pictures rather than a single one. That changes what you are choosing: instead of finding the one perfect photo, you are assembling a group that works together. It suits families, a pet who has been around long enough to have a history, a year of a relationship, or a house full of animals where picking one would start an argument.

Each layout has a fixed number of frames, shown on the product page. The frames are part of the design, so the number is not adjustable — pick the layout that matches how many photos you actually want to use.

Choosing a set that holds together

A collage fails for different reasons than a single photo does. Usually it is not the individual pictures — it is the mix.

• Keep the light consistent. Four bright outdoor photos read as a set. Three bright ones and one dark indoor shot reads as a mistake.
• Vary the distance. Five photos taken from the same distance at the same angle look repetitive. Mix a close portrait with a wider scene.
• Mind the aspect ratio. Frames are usually taller than they are wide. A wide landscape shot dropped into a tall frame loses its sides.
• One photo sets the tone. Decide which is the main image and treat the rest as support.
• Match the era, or do not. A deliberate mix of old and recent works well. An accidental one just looks inconsistent.

Resolution matters more here

This is the important difference from a single-photo blanket. Each frame occupies a fraction of the blanket, so a small file can look fine in a small frame — but every frame is being enlarged from a separate original, and the weakest file is the one people will notice. Send the original files rather than copies pulled from social media, which are compressed on upload.

Cropping

Every frame is cropped by you before you order, so what you place is what gets made. Leave a little space around faces; a crop that sits tight against a chin on screen sits tighter still once the frame is applied.

Wording

Most layouts carry a line of text — a family name, a year, a short phrase. It is reproduced exactly as you type it. Shorter reads better: a surname and a year will sit at a comfortable size, a full sentence will not.

Sizes

Collage layouts benefit from room. On 30 x 40 in a six-frame design puts each photo at roughly postcard size, which is fine for two or three frames and cramped for more. 50 x 60 in is the safer choice for anything with four or more, and 60 x 80 in gives every frame real presence — provided your files can carry it.

For a personalized design, enter your photos and wording exactly as you want them to appear; a proof is available on request — leave a note with your order or email info@hakhatu.com with your order number, and we will send one before production begins. Illustrated designs are printed exactly as shown.

Production: 3–5 business days, Monday to Friday. Delivery after production: 5–10 business days in the United States, 4–15 business days to the other countries we ship to. Looking after it

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. Do not bleach. Do not iron the design. Follow the care label supplied with the item; product-specific instructions take priority over this general guidance.

If something is wrong

Contact us within 14 days of delivery if the item is the wrong size, differs from the design shown or the details you submitted, or arrives damaged. Email info@hakhatu.com with your order number and clear photos. Once verified, we replace or refund at no cost to you, and in most cases you do not need to send anything back.

Items personalized with details you entered — a misspelled name, a wrong date, or a size chosen at checkout — cannot be taken back, so please review every field before you pay. To cancel, email us within 12 hours of ordering.
