How to personalize it

  1. Upload one clear chest-up portrait per photo, up to three uploads. Leave the head, hair, shoulders and upper chest visible.
  2. Add a name or short title for the comic strip beneath the grid.
  3. Choose print colors, shirt color, fit and size. Move or resize portraits in the preview and check the result before ordering.

Photo tip: Choose a sharp chest-up portrait with even light on the face and enough space around the whole head, hair, shoulders and collar. The print shows a simplified four-tone version of the head and upper chest, so heavy shadows can hide details. Each photo's repeated copies share its position and size. Background removal can be switched off for a soft oval treatment.

Production and shipping

Every shirt is made to order. Printing takes about 1–3 business days, then standard shipping to the contiguous United States usually takes 5–9 business days (longer in peak season). This shirt does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or outside the U.S.

Questions

Can I use more than one portrait?
Yes. Add one to three photos, with one person per photo. Reading left to right and top to bottom, three uploads appear as 1, 2, 3 and 1. Two uploads alternate.

How does the pop art effect change the photo?
The design maps brightness into four flat tones, changing the original photo colors. Each panel uses a different treatment. Eyes and facial shading depend on the light in the uploaded photo; review them in the preview.

What words can go in the strip?
Use any short name or title up to 14 characters. The lettering appears in capitals and scales to fit. Clear the field to remove the strip.

Can the repeated portraits have different positions?
Copies of a given upload share the same position and size. Adjust the upload in its first panel; the copies follow. The design limits movement and enlargement to keep the head within the panels.

Do you really remove the background for me?
Yes. The cutout happens in your browser as soon as you add a photo, and you see the result in the live preview. You can turn it off for any photo. Your photo is only uploaded when you add the shirt to your cart, and it is used to print your order.

Do you have women's and kids' sizes?
Yes. Choose Men (classic unisex fit, S to 5XL), Women (semi-fitted, S to 3XL) or Kid (youth fit, XS to XL) at the top of the page. The print is sized to suit the shirt, so kid and small sizes get a proportionally smaller print.

Which size should I order?
Open the Size guide next to the size options: it highlights your fit and size, and the size chart is also in the product photos. Measurements are the garment laid flat, give or take 1 inch. If you are between sizes, size up for a relaxed fit.

What kind of photo works best?
A sharp, well-lit photo. If it looks clear in the live preview, it will print clear. Photos smaller than about 900 pixels on the short side can look soft.

Can I see it before it prints?
Yes. You see a live preview of your photo and words on the shirt before you order, and the design is printed the way you see it.

Each shirt is printed after you order, which takes about 1–3 business days. Nothing sits in stock.

  • Contiguous United States: about 5–9 business days after printing.

Peak season or weather can occasionally add a few days. If your order also has other items, they may arrive in a separate parcel with their own tracking number.
